Dr. Bishayee is a Professor of Pharmacology and Director of Research at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (Bradenton, Florida, USA). He received his Ph.D. (cancer prevention) from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. Dr. Bishayee performed post-doctoral research at Rutgers University, Newark, New Jersey (formerly University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey). Dr. Bishayee’sprimary research interest during last three decades encompasses natural products and dietary agents in health and disease with special emphasis on cancer. His laboratory is involved in investigatingcancer preventive and therapeutic effects of medicinal plants, natural products, dietary and synthetic agents using several pre-clinical models of cancerand underlying mechanisms of action. Various projects of Dr. Bishayee are funded by the National Institutes of Healthas well as private pharmaceutical and biotechnological companies. Dr Bishayee has been awarded a United States patent on development of a potential drug for breast cancer preventionand treatment.Dr. Bishayee has published more than300peer-reviewed original research papers and authoritative review articles, mostly in high-impact journals, 22 book chapters, and around 90conference abstracts,and delivered at least40 invited presentations at various national and international scientific meetings. Dr. Bishayeehas been serving various reputed journals as Section Editor-in-Chief, Consulting Editor, Editorial Board Member, and reviewer. Dr. Bishayee edited an Elsevier book “Epigenetics of Cancer Prevention” and guest edited several special issues on natural products and cancer published by leading publishers, such as Elsevier, Springer Nature, MDPI, and Bentham. Dr. Bishayee is a “Highly Cited Researcher” in 2022 and his papers rank in the top 1% by citations for a field or fields (Clarivate, Web of Science). His Scopus h-index is 75 and scholars from all over the world have cited Dr. Bishayee’s published work more than 25,000 times.
